Ah, the lovely Duffryn Gardens. Situated in the Vale of Glamorgan, as a child my cousin and I visited this place very often together, and it's held a very special place in our hearts ever since. We go back regularly now with our own children, and this week we decided it was time for a visit.
As usual it didn't disappoint, but I have to say I think I have never seen it look so glorious. The flowers were out in abundance, and were just out of this World. The vegetable patches looked as if they had been hand made, and watching the croquet on the lawn had my daughter shouting 'Alice in Wonderland' quotes, much to her amusement. There was a new wooden climbing area at the back (I promise I don't work for The National Trust) which they played on for hours, and they loved the Butterfly hunt. Along with all the trees to climb and areas to explore, if you love nature and your children love exploring, it's just the best place to be.
Of course going to Duffrryn Gardens I had to take my camera, and I managed to captured some cute moments between these cousins. Though they don't see each other very often, they always bond together as if they saw each other yesterday and go off and have fun adventures together. Such a lovely day.
